Non-Surgical Face Rejuvenation in 6 Easy Steps
Non-Surgical Face Rejuvenation in 6 Easy Steps
You are the key player in the anti-aging healthcare revolution happening right now. When it comes to anti-aging medicine, there is no area where the latest innovations in facial rejuvenation are more fascinating, applicable, and easily accessible for you to use right now. More importantly, non-invasive techniques for rejuvenating the face have emerged as the most fascinating and fruitful new developments. Both "effective" and "non-surgical" are correct statements.
When we're sixteen years old, our skin is smooth and shining. When we're forty or fifty, we start to see our mothers reflected in the mirror. When we're sixty-five, our eyes get hooded, our lower eyelids swell, we develop jowls, and loose skin folds droop beneath our chin. Let's go over the modifications we need to be on the lookout for, identify, and fix in detail.
Varieties of Skin Texture (Differential Surface Features)
The skin of an elderly face appears parched in comparison to that of a youngster. By the time we reach the age of 50, we have lost more than half of the hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural skin moisturizing factor that cannot be artificially restored through topical or oral means. This shift is accelerated during menopause due to the loss of hormone support. Aged, dry skin loses its radiance and appears lifeless and nearly grey. The skin becomes more wrinkled and rough as it ages, and its pores increase.
Pigment and blood vessel irregularities, including brown and red patches
Aged facial skin is characterized by uneven pigmentation and the overgrowth of blood vessels. Skin inflammation and protection from free radicals caused by environmental and dietary pollutants, as well as years of sun exposure, cause these imperfections.
Lines and wrinkles that are fine
Wrinkles and fine lines are the most noticeable indicators of facial aging. Wrinkles that appear on the skin even when the face is relaxed are called static wrinkles. Collagen depletion in the dermal layer is the root cause of these wrinkles. Free radicals and ultraviolet light from the sun both degrade collagen. Less collagen means less volume under the skin, which means more wrinkles. Similar to how a dried grape will wrinkle to form a raisin, this will happen.
Frown lines, laugh lines, worry lines, and crow's feet are all examples of dynamic wrinkles that become visible as the face moves. Actually, the pull of the face muscles just under the skin's surface is what causes these lines. After years of constant pulling from the face muscles, dynamic wrinkles might turn into static ones.
Distinct Frown Lines
The lines around the lips known as the Nasal-labial fold line and the Marionette lines are examples of deep facial lines. These lines are distinct from wrinkles because they result from sagging skin and the pulling of the face muscles simultaneously. The skin loosens and collapses over the lines made by the pull of facial muscles, such as the smile line, as a person ages.
Airy skin
As we age, our skin loses its elasticity and becomes loose. The jowls are the result of the cheek's descent, which caused skin to loosen around the jaw. Additionally, the turkey wattle—the skin that hangs down from the neck just below the jaw—is present.
Face Rejuvenation: What Is It?
To revitalize is to return to an original or fresh state; to make young or youthful again is the definition of the word. In order to return the face to its original, youthful form, or make it seem younger, true facial rejuvenation must address all of the aforementioned changes that occur with age. This 6-step approach is a surgical-free solution to all the problems associated with aging.
Non-Surgical Face Rejuvenation in 6 Easy Steps
The following are the six stages of the face rejuvenation program:
1. Peeling off.
Step two: encouraging the body to produce more collagen
3. Surgical excision of veins and abnormal pigment
4. Reducing tension in facial expression lines
5. Restore fullness to thin brows
6. Tightening of the skin
An Example of the 6-Step Program in Action
First Step: Exfoliation
A glycolic or salicylic acid superficial chemical peel or microdermabrasion are the first steps in my patients' exfoliation regimens. You will leave the office somewhat flushed but with a revitalized glow after the second peel, which does not require any downtime. Although I utilize topical vitamin C for individuals with sensitive skin, my go-to exfoliants are Retin A® and Tazarotine®.
I employ a more thorough kind of exfoliation known as MicroLasaerPeel® on patients who exhibit more pronounced signs of aging. Though more successful than Microdermabrasion®, this process leaves you with a reddening of the skin after leaving the office and requires four to six days for your skin to return to normal. Compared to laser resurfacing, which goes deeper and has a lengthy recovery period, this is a huge improvement. Laser resurfacing lightens the skin and leaves demarcation lines; MicroLaserePeel® performs neither of these things. Because of its precision and dependability, the MicroLaserPeel® is my preferred method of deeper chemical peels, even though many physicians utilize TCA.
Second, initiate the process of new collagen synthesis.
This is the second-most-important step after deep exfoliation in reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the face. Be patient because this is the most laborious and time-consuming stage as well. When it comes to obvious face wrinkles, there is currently no fast, non-surgical solution. Although laser resurfacing is an efficient and fast way to eliminate wrinkles on the face, I do not recommend it because it is essentially a surgical operation with lengthy recovery and downtime that most people simply cannot afford.
Additional stimulation is necessary, while the aforementioned topical treatments and deep exfoliation do promote the synthesis of new collagen. Without damaging the skin's surface, modern laser methods, IPL, and radiofrequency equipment can stimulate the skin to produce deeper layers of collagen. In contrast to laser resurfacing, which removes the outer layer of skin cells, these methods are considered non-ablative. You will be pink after a non-ablative approach, but you will recover in a matter of hours because there is no downtime associated with these operations.
Photorejuvenation, a non-ablative technique that stimulates collagen production, is possible with a wide variety of equipment brands. One called Lasergenesis® is my favorite since it is simple, painless, and very effective. Patients with abnormal blood vessels or a lot of pigment can also benefit from IPL, but it is more powerful, requires skin contact, and is best administered cautiously by someone with training and experience.
It takes a long time to stimulate collagen. At least five to seven treatments are necessary to achieve noticeable effects, such as less wrinkles, and it will take another five to seven months before you can see the difference. However, those wrinkles didn't appear for 30–40 years, so getting rid of them in only 7 months without surgery or recovery time isn't bad.
Step 3: Eliminating Blood Vessels and Abnormal Pigment
While exfoliation and creams can get rid of light brown spots, and the lasers and IPL in step 2 can get rid of smaller vessels, darker pigment and brown spots, as well as larger vessels, require more aggressive therapy. Pigment and blood vessel removal is possible using a variety of non-ablative lasers. Although these lasers do not cause permanent damage, they do leave a reddening mark that can be covered up with makeup after a day or two. New Versapulse® lasers are so pricey that they are rarely created anymore, but I have used one called the Versapulse® for many years, and it works extremely well. For bigger blood arteries, a more modern laser known as the Coolglide® works wonders. These days, IPL is the go-to for Rosacea-like flushes caused by a combination of pigment and smaller blood vessels.
Results from the aforementioned treatments are noticeable after approximately six weeks. Two or three sessions are typically required.
Fourth, De-Stress Your Face Expression Muscles
A brand-new, ground-breaking medicine called Botox® successfully relaxes the muscles of the face, erasing dynamic lines and wrinkles. Botox® injections can reduce or eliminate the appearance of a variety of fine lines and wrinkles, including crow's feet, bunny lines, worry lines, and frown lines. Botox® can smooth out fine creases and wrinkles around the lips, including those caused by lipstick, but it's important to use very little doses to avoid weakening the lips.
One of the new "peptides" is acetyl 3 hexapeptide, which supposedly works similarly to Botox® in diminishing fine wrinkles when given topically in the form of a cream. These agents will be refined and improved over time, and they may eventually render Botox® injections obsolete.
Chapter 7, No Downtime Facial Anti-Aging Procedures, might provide more information regarding the mechanism of action of these muscle-relaxing and wrinkle-removing medicines.
Step 5: Correct Contour Deformities and Deep Facial Lines
A deep facial line can be filled and camouflaged using injectable soft tissue fillers like Radiesse®, Restylane®, or even your own fat. They can also be used to fill in contour deformities brought on by facial aging and to perk up an aging lip.
You will need to apply these fillers again in six months to a year because they are temporary. It may not be necessary to repeat fat injections if done correctly because they last longer. Keep in mind that filler approaches just hide flaws, not fix them.
Level 6: Tightening the Skin
Any procedure to rejuvenate the face must include skin tightening. A face-lift was the exclusive method for tightening skin on the face until about a year or two ago. However, there are new technologies that are demonstrating great promise as non-invasive alternatives to surgical skin tightening. These technologies utilize infrared, radiofrequency, and combined 1319/1064 wavelength laser energy.
After two years of use, the outcomes are starting to improve with two of these methods: the radiofrequency energy-based Thermage® and the infrared device Titan®. Please do not be fooled into thinking that these procedures can replace surgical facelifts. But in the right cases, they can tighten skin by 30% or more. Thermage® has caused depressions in some parts of the face skin as a side effect, therefore it's crucial to know what you're doing while using these devices.
Skin tightening, like other non-invasive face rejuvenation methods, requires a series of sessions before you see any results—typically around five months. It takes time, often 5 to 6 months, to observe the impact of skin tightening using lasers and photo methods; the goal is to stimulate the deeper layers of the skin to remodel and produce new collagen.
Younger patients who are noticing sagging skin around the neck, jawline, and cheeks can benefit most from non-surgical skin tightening. While it is possible to enhance the appearance of severely sagging faces in older patients, the impact will be less dramatic.
The 6-Step Facial Rejuvenation Program is an organized approach to using cutting-edge, non-invasive techniques for face rejuvenation. After approximately seven months of following this approach, you will see actual and noticeable changes in your face—the same amount of time that most people spend on face creams and diets without any improvement. Considering that your face aged over the course of a lifetime, the idea that this damage may be undone in a single night is completely absurd.
The cost of the non-invasive face rejuvenation therapy is high. Not only do you require the services of a trained medical professional, but these cutting-edge technologies can be somewhat pricey. Facial rejuvenation without the hassle, expense, and danger of surgery is possible with this six-step method. Many of you will come close to covering the cost of the 6-step program if you add up all the money you've spent on skin creams, facials, fad diets, and spa visits and put it aside for the program. The 6-step approach will help you save money and get better results from your current face rejuvenation procedures at the doctor's office.
